Greece and Cyprus simplify entry for Russian tourists

Greece has simplified the receipt of the QR code and the rules for filling out the PLF form, and Cyprus has halved the cost of PCR tests.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) informs on its website that it has become much easier to obtain a QR code to enter Greece, which is a prerequisite. The procedure now takes 2 times less time than before. After filling out and sending the Passenger Locator Form, a unique QR code is immediately sent to the traveler’s phone.

Another innovation concerns questionnaire submission (PLF). If earlier it was required to do this a day before departure, now it is possible right before departure at the airport. True, it is better to worry about sending an important document in advance, recommends Gazeta.ru

In Cyprus, the authorities also took the path of facilitating the entry of tourists into the country, reducing the cost of PCR tests for coronavirus by 2 times, ATOR informs. Now, instead of 30 euros, testing at Lurnaca airport will cost only 15 euros. And if tourists arrive at Paphos airport, then even less – 19 euros instead of the previously announced 32 euros. At the same time, if you have a valid certificate of full vaccination with Sputnik-V, you do not need to undergo a PCR test. As reported “Russian newspaper” with reference to the country’s Ministry of Tourism, 84 thousand Russian tourists came to Cyprus in June, providing 45.8% of the tourist flow.
