Iran has unveiled its first domestically produced hypersonic ballistic missile, state-run IRNA news agency reported.
The announcement heightened Western concerns about the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile program, as the West was far behind in the development of hypersonic weapons.

Iranian state media broadcast images of the missile, dubbed the Fattah, and unveiled at a special ceremony attended by President Ebrahim Raisi and top Revolutionary Guard officers.
Supersonic missiles can fly at speeds up to five times the speed of sound and follow complex trajectories, making them extremely difficult or impossible to intercept. There are reports that the Iranians got the know-how from the Russians to create such an achievement.

However, one thing is when Iran declares something, another thing is when it actually happens. It is possible that this presentation is one of the elements of the information war.
