With the help of sledgehammers, unidentified people desecrated one hundred graves at the Hexamilion cemetery in Corinth, breaking marble slabs and monuments.
The incident took place yesterday, Thursday April 20, when twelve people entered the protected area of the cemetery. However, the shift of employees of the private security company ended at 18:00, and the attackers, apparently, were well aware of this.
The mayor of Corinth, Vasilis Nanopoulos, saw the consequences of vandalism with his own eyes, visiting the destroyed section of the cemetery, writes CNN Greece.
