As part of operational action, five people were arrested in the Agios Ioannis Rentis area by the Immediate Response Police. As it became known, four of them were underage members of a gang that constantly committed thefts.
According to ELAS, members of the taxi gang had burglaries and burglaries two hours earlier in three health stores in Peania, Wari and Glyfada. Having infiltrated the shops, they stole various amounts of money from the cash registers.
The Immediate Response Police (Αμεσης Δράσης), who were called immediately after the theft, found a taxi with five passengers on Kifissos Avenue and stopped it. The detainees were taken to the Glyfada security department.
During the search, 695 euros and mobile phones were found and seized from the accused. It is noted that the accused in the past have already been arrested by the authorities for similar offenses.
