A moderate earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck the city of Preveza in Epirus on the northwest coast of Greece at 9:49 am Wednesday.
According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea area 9 km northwest of Preveza.
The focal depth of the earthquake is 9 km.
