Former artistic director of the Greek National Theater and actor Dimitris Lignadis, accused of raping four young men, appeared before a mixed jury in the Justice Council misconduct cases on Friday.
The court ruled that he would remain in custody pending a final judgment.
The court agreed with the prosecution’s arguments that it should reject the imprisoned actor’s assertion that the charges were part of an artistic and political framework and that he should remain in prison due to the high risk of reoffending.
