Against the background of cases of thrombosis after the AstraZeneca vaccination, those wishing to get vaccinated were eagerly awaiting the drug Johnson & Johnson, but not everything turned out well here, according to the New York Times.
The US authorities are pushing for the termination of vaccination with Johnson & Johnson due to reported cases of thrombosis. A dangerous side effect was observed in six vaccinated citizens. All of them are women, their age is from 18 to 48 years.
According to the New York Times, one of the vaccinated women has died, and another is in critical condition. Against the background of the incident, the US Federal Health Service recommends stopping the administration of the drug Johnson & Johnson, which requires only a single use.
It was reported on Twitter that the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have issued a statement regarding the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, pushing for an end to its use.
It came just days after the EMA announced it was reviewing Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine for possible thrombosis. The European agency reported on April 9 that Janssen reported four rare cases of thrombosis following the administration of the J&J vaccine, one of which was fatal.
