A man accused of shooting and killing a 43-year-old gas utility employee and wounding another while doing work on a city street has been admitted to the Korydallos prison psychiatric hospital.

On the morning of October 23, on Tatoi Avenue, a man fired shots at the employees of the gas energy company. The furious city dweller, according to preliminary information, was unhappy with the fact that gas bills had increased sharply. However, it was later revealed that he has a mental illness, and he was led by “Satan”. As a result of the accident, two people were injured, with one employee died in the hospital a few hours later. Initially, the wounded were taken to the KAT hospital, but after a while one of the victims died from his wounds. Strelka was arrested. An investigation is underway.

The “shooter”, accused of attempted murder and committed a violation of the drug law, carrying and using weapons, was brought before a competent investigator, however, according to available information, while he was left in prison. In the investigator’s office, he could not clearly answer the questions. The accused was sentenced to pre-trial detention, but will remain in a psychiatric hospital until the completion of the examination requested by the investigator. The man at the time of his arrest said that he acted on the orders of “Satan.”

Neighbors unanimously say that the deranged man “should be in a mental hospital.” “Someone had to put him in the clinic, even against his will. He had hallucinations. He saw hundreds of spiders surrounding him. When he had new psychotic episodes, he became obsessed, ”said the man’s family friend. As it turned out, even the mother, a retired doctor, was afraid of her son, because he raised his hand to her and abused her.

According to the information, the offender, who lived in an apartment building on Skuf Street, faced very serious psychological problems. In fact, in the past he was hospitalized twice in a psychiatric clinic, but this time he was outside the walls of the clinic.

The perpetrator was a neighbor of one of his victims. “You forced the worker to use black magic on me,” he told the man, who ended up shooting at least five times. According to the police, the “shooter” returned home to rearm. He climbed to the roof, where, luckily, he was caught by a group of police officers from the Immediate Response Unit (Αμεσης Δράσης). When they twisted him, he shouted: “Satan made me do this!”
