The Patras fire brigade received an alarm when a fire broke out on a ship docked in the port. Thick smoke suddenly poured out of the chimney of the passenger ferry. This is the SUPERFAST 11 port serving the Patras-Italia route.
10 firefighters arrived at the scene in two specialized vehicles. According to preliminary data, there are no people inside the ship.
The ship arrived at the port of Patras at 14:00 from Ancona (Italy), and almost immediately after disembarking passengers and vehicles, for reasons not yet established, a fire broke out.
