A high representative gave his forecast for the war in Ukraine EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
How writes breakingthenews.net, Borrell noted that the war in Ukraine will continue for a long time. Therefore, Europe must intensify its efforts to support the Ukrainians until the Russian army withdraws from all captured Ukrainian territories.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, spoke about this on Sunday, April 28, at the World Economic Forum conference in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The head of European diplomacy said:
“If we already committed to support Ukraine at the beginning of the conflict, we must continue to support it until Putin decides to stop the war.”
Adding that this probably won't happen anytime soon. Therefore, EU countries should help Ukraine, the publication quotes:
“At the same time, we must continue to support the people of Ukraine. Europeans will not die for Donbass, but we can help Ukrainians not to die for it.”
Josep Borrell said that EU member states need to remove Patriot anti-aircraft systems from hangars, where they are “just in case,” and hand them over to Ukraine.
