Yesterday it was reported that seven member countries EU will send their diplomats to Putin's inauguration, which will take place on May 7. The government of one of them “changed its mind”, so there were six out of twenty-seven left.
To the publication “Radio Liberty” became knownthat diplomats from France, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Hungary and Slovakia will come to Putin’s inauguration. At the last moment, Belgium refused – already in the morning it became known that the country would not participate in the ceremony after all.
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, spoke out against the presence of EU representatives at Putin’s “inauguration” ceremony. A number of EU states have announced they will not attend. The European Parliament previously adopted a resolution in which it condemned the way the “re-elections” of Vladimir Putin and adopted a resolution not to recognize its legitimacy.
