Police have proceeded to arrest two minors as they stole a ring from the security/personal belongings locker of the Agia Anargyroi Cancer Hospital in Kifissia.
Two children, ages 14 and 15, arrived at the hospital posing as patients to be assessed in the emergency department. The minors were taken to the hospital along with two other people who pretended to be their escorts.
When the attackers got inside the hospital, they immediately went to the cabinets where the personal belongings of the staff were stored. Having opened one of the cells, they pulled out from a bag located there a gold ring with a red stone of unknown value.
When the victim realized that her jewelry had been stolen, she reported it to the police. CCTV cameras installed in the hospital helped to investigate and identify the thieves.
Two minors were arrested, and their “comrades” fled the scene before authorities arrived.
