A teenage boy who intended to sell flares and fireworks was arrested as part of a police investigation on Saturday 13 April.
Police spotted a 16-year-old boy walking in the Kallithea area with two backpacks and stopped him for inspection. During the operational actions, 26 packages were discovered and confiscated, each containing 20 flares, as well as a mobile phone. During a search at his home, police discovered and confiscated another 788 pyrotechnic items.
The teenager and his father, who were arrested for neglecting the supervision of a minor, were taken to the Kallithea security department, where a preliminary investigation was launched. Those arrested with a case filed against them are brought before the competent prosecutor.
