Police dismantled a drug cartel distributing illegal substances in Kallithea and Athens


A criminal organization involved in the cocaine trade in Kallithea and the center of Athens has been dismantled.

Two Greeks, 26 and 54 years old, were arrested, as well as a 45-year-old foreigner, who was the leader and responsible for the entire process.
A criminal organization whose members were actively involved in the cocaine trade in territory of Kallithea and the center of Athensliquidated by the Anti-Drug Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate.

The criminal organization had a hierarchical structure and clearly distributed roles among its members. As part of an organized police operation to use information about the activities of the organization in the regions, 3 people were detained. A 26-year-old man who is being sought has also been identified.

In particular, the head of the drug cartel was responsible for the entire organizational process (purchase, packaging, storage and processing), as well as for finding clients and collecting profits. The leader’s accomplice was involved in the supply of cocaine, searching for suppliers and buyers, and was also responsible for storing and transporting drugs. The “treasurer” organized the shipment of certain quantities of prohibited substances to a neighboring country.

During the search conducted in the houses of the accused, the following were discovered and confiscated:

  • 51.8 grams of cocaine in 62 nylon bags,
  • paint roller used as drug stash (video)
  • two toasters, which were used as hiding places where money was hidden,
  • cash in the amount of 46,325 euros,
  • electronic balance,
  • automobile
  • five cell phones.

Those arrested with a case filed against them were taken to the Athens prosecutor’s office.
