Phthiotida: a 90-year-old woman’s nightmare walk

A pack of stray dogs attacked a ninety-year-old resident of the village of Elateya (Phthiotida), knocking her to the ground.

As a result, on the evening of March 5th she was admitted to the Livadia hospital. Her walk with a friend at about 7 pm turned into a real nightmare. How transmits lamiareport.gr correspondent in Central Greece, two neighbors who saw the attack and heard the women’s voices rushed to help.

They drove away a pack of 5-6 dogs and tried to raise the victim. However, the woman lying on the ground was in pain. Due to the delay of the ambulance, which was on another call, she was transported to the hospital, where a hip fracture was diagnosed. Doctors said she would need surgery.

According to the elderly woman’s relatives, the entire village is upset by the incident. Residents once again ask the municipality of Amphiclea-Elatea to finally resolve the issue of stray dogs.
