Father and daughter injured by naval flare in Kalamata (video)

As a result of injuries from a naval missile, a 64-year-old man and his 37-year-old daughter were taken to a Kalamata hospital. A 58-year-old man was detained.

He is charged with violating the torch and fireworks law and causing dangerous bodily harm. According to the police, how writes newsbeast.gr, on Sunday afternoon a man fired a rocket, which ended up in the courtyard of a house at a distance of 150 meters from the launch site. As a result, two victims, after first aid, were taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred at noon on Easter Sunday, when the family was preparing for a festive feast. The man was wounded in the shoulder, his daughter in the stomach. Fortunately the injuries were minor. As the victims say, the rocket flew at high speed and fell in a place where there were many people, including children. The consequences could be much more serious. The victim woman says:

“A naval flare was flying at high speed and landed in the garden. Luckily we are fine, everything is fine. But there were other people there too. We don’t know where or who started it.”

Soon, the police of the Kalamata Security Sub-Directorate discovered the criminal who launched the rocket and detained him.
