The health condition of the 21-year-old girl who was the victim of a brutal knife attack on Ermou Street in central Athens on Friday afternoon is improving. And now her life is out of danger.
According to ANT1, the victim was transferred from the intensive care unit of Evangelismos and is now being treated in the general ward. Authorities are looking into the background of the attacker and, according to STAR television, the attacker arrived in our country the day before the attack, that is, on Thursday (February 29) through Serbia, carrying a German passport.
“The police will currently not be able to draw any conclusions about his ‘criminal past’ until information comes from Europol. There is a possibility that he is a member of a para-religious organization or belongs to some kind of radical organization,” says police analyst Stavros Balaskas . On the morning of Tuesday, March 5, the criminal will appear before the investigator on charges of attempted murder.
