A foreigner stabbed a woman to death on Ermou Street in the center of Athens

A man stabbed a woman at the intersection of Ermou and Fokionos. According to initial information, the police were informed about the bloody incident at 13.30.

The woman was stabbed in the left shoulder blade, her condition is assessed as serious. Greek police identified the foreigner and arrested him.

The injured woman was reportedly there for some time, waiting for an ambulance to arrive on the scene to pick her up. Shortly before 2 p.m., the woman was picked up by EKAB officers and transferred to Evangelizmos.
