The President of Ukraine announced the size of the army in an interview with ARD and spoke about mobilization (video)

President Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with the German television channel ARD, named the size of the Ukrainian army.

He stated that it amounts to 880 thousand people. Zelensky also noted that approximately 30 million people are currently working in Ukraine. Approximately 6.5-7.5 million people left the country. These figures were reported in ARD interview:

“We have 880 thousand. We have a million-strong army. And at the same time, we have 30 million people working right now, and maybe even a little more. I can’t say the exact number.”

He added that today it is not known exactly how many people left from the very beginning of the full-scale war, but it is approximately 6.5-7.5 million people.

Edition “Correspondent” remindsthat about 600 thousand soldiers serve in the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And also in two months of the recruitment project initiated by the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received more than 50 thousand reviews of those interested in the posted vacancies. Alexey Bezhevets, authorized representative of the department for recruiting, spoke about this in an interview with ArmyInform:

“We see now that the initiative, which began in mid-November last year for cooperation with these online platforms (Lobby X, OLX, Work.ua and Robota.ua), is developing very actively. In terms of the number of military units that have joined, now “This is already more than five thousand departments. And this is just for the last two months. And there are already more than 50 thousand reviews for posted vacancies. The number is increasing weekly.”

As a representative of the Ministry of Defense explained, subsequently an idea arose so that the Ministry of Defense could provide such recruitment in a structured and consolidated manner, that is, it is planned to create its own recruiting agency, since the mentioned online platforms are only one component that does not cover the entire process:

“Now we have military units in the Defense Forces, there are several thousand of them. They recruit people for themselves. Accordingly, we have several thousand, conditionally, employers, several thousand authorized officers, personnel services, taking into account their understanding, experience, manner of communication, etc. “In fact, they select people. Therefore, we have potentially several thousand approaches to this process. No matter how you regulate it, no matter how you prove it with instructions or directives, it will still be, relatively speaking, several thousand variations on the theme of recruiting.”
