Houthis report missile attack on US-owned ship Genco Picardy


The Yemeni Houthi group Ansar Allah launched a missile attack on the US ship Genco Picardy in the Gulf of Aden, group spokesman Yahya Saria said on Al Masirah TV. According to him, a direct hit was recorded on the ship.

The attack is the first that the United States has acknowledged since Washington and its allies began firing missiles at Yemen on Friday in retaliation for a Houthi attack on commercial ships in the Red Sea. Before this, Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam accused the United States of violating national sovereignty by flying over Yemen’s airspace and coastal clouds.
