The news of the death of a 17-year-old schoolgirl who suffered allergic shock in Crete caused grief and sympathy among the public.
According to ekriti.gr, the girl died at midnight on Sunday, 7/01, in the Venizelio Hospital, where she was hospitalized after suffering an allergic shock in a hotel.
A few days ago, after examinations to which she was subjected, the girl was diagnosed with brain death. Her health condition was critical from the very beginning, but the doctors, as expected, fought for her life all this time.
A 17-year-old student at the Attica Art School went to Heraklion with her classmates. The guys stayed at one of the hotels in Ammudar. On the morning of Sunday, December 10, during breakfast, a student who had a dairy allergy ate some butter. A few minutes later an allergic reaction occurred, the student realized this and went to the hotel room to inject herself with an anti-shock drug that she always had with her.
However, soon her classmates and teachers found her unconscious and immediately called an ambulance. The girl was rushed to Venizelio Hospital. Despite the fact that she managed to inject herself, her body stopped functioning.
