Forced landing at Eleftherios Venizelos – not all passengers wanted to fly further

After finding themselves in Greece during an emergency landing of an EGYPT AIR flight, four passengers hid in the toilet in order to remain in the country.

The incident occurred yesterday, January 6, when an Egyptian Airlines plane departing from Cairo and heading to Benghazi Airport in Libya made an emergency landing at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport due to adverse weather conditions at its destination. There were one hundred and eleven passengers and six crew members on board the plane.

The captain of the aircraft did not allow the passengers to remain on the plane until takeoff, and they, accompanied by police and security, went to the waiting room. They stayed there until 20:00, and upon boarding it turned out that the number of passengers had decreased by four people, writes CNN Greece.

Intending to remain in our country, they tried to hide in the toilet, but were spotted by the police and taken to the plane. At 21:05, after a crew change, the plane took off for Benghazi.
