Shooting at Prague University was not related to terrorism (video)


As a result of yesterday’s tragic incident at the University of Prague, according to updated data, 14 dead and 25 injured.

According to police, the shooter died during the operation to neutralize him, but it is not specified whether he was shot by law enforcement officers or committed suicide.

The twenty-four-year-old shooter studied at this university. Police suspect he killed his father hours before opening fire at the university. During a search of his apartment, several types of weapons were found that the killer owned legally.

In an address to the nation, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said: “There is no justification for this horrific act.” The head of government assured that this was an isolated attack not related to terrorism or organized crime.

Condolences for the families of the victims were expressed in Europe and the United States.
