Weather forecast for Christmas from Sakis Arnautoglu (video)


According to popular meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglou, who made the forecast for the holidays, mild weather is expected for Christmas, although some severe weather is possible in some places.

On Thursday 21 December morning, rainfall in the south-east will be limited in places and more intense in others. Light rain will remain in the eastern Aegean in the afternoon, but in other regions the weather will weaken and become sunny.

The wind will be especially strong in the Dodecanese, from 8 to 9 on the Beaufort scale. In the rest of the country, the wind will not exceed 4-5 points, in some places 6-7 points on the Beaufort scale. At night and early Thursday morning in a number of mountainous areas the temperature is expected to be below freezing, and in the lowlands – up to 7 degrees Celsius. The temperature during the day will reach 15-16°C.

The weather will be mild on Friday 22 December and the weekend of 23-24 December, while Christmas Day will be sunny with some clouds, mostly in the west, but clear of any activity. Winds on Christmas Day will be from the south-west at 4-5 Beaufort.
