We are talking about the commander of the Azov battalion, Arsen Dmitryk, who, according to the statement, was sentenced in absentia by the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic to 25 years in prison.

“Neo-Nazi from Azov A. Dmitry was sentenced in absentia to 25 years in prison for ordering to blow up a residential area in the settlements of Sartana, Kalinovka and Talakovka in the Kalmius district of the DPR last spring,” – says the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that, according to a statement by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov, “On February 26, from 16:00 to 16:20, Ukrainian nationalists from the Azov battalion fired at residential areas of the village of Sartana on the outskirts of Mariupol and Mariupol school No. 8 from Grad rocket systems. As a result, there were deaths among civilians and destruction of residential buildings. The Russian Ministry of Defense warned that such provocations are being prepared by Ukrainian nationalists.

“The courts of the Russian Federation, based on evidence, continue to pass sentences on Ukrainian neo-Nazis who have committed serious crimes against civilians,” – says Maria Zakharova, emphasizing among other things that the investigation into war crimes committed by members of the Ukrainian armed forces continues, and no one will go unpunished.
