First snowfalls? Sakis Arnautoglu predicts worsening weather (video)


Today, November 8, it is raining in northern Greece and cloudy in Attica, and the first snow will fall on Saturday – this is the weather forecast for the coming days from meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglou.

The weather, as the weather forecaster promises, will change in the next 24 hours. Bad weather will begin in the north and northwest of Greece – rain and local storms are expected there. In the rest of the country today it will be partly cloudy and cloudy in places. In the late afternoon, unsettled weather will begin to move south and east towards Thrace, Thessaly, north-eastern Sterea and north-western Peloponnese, bringing rain to these areas.

The wind is southerly, from 3 to 4 points on the Beaufort scale, in some places up to 5 points, in the evening its direction will change to the north. The air temperature during the day is 27-28°C in the east of the continent, 23-24°C in the flat continental and island regions.

In Attica, partly cloudy and sunny, only in the evening the clouds will become denser. Wind southwest, force 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale. Temperature from 14°C to 24°C.

Partly cloudy in the morning in Central Macedonia. Closer to noon, the clouds will begin to thicken and it will rain, which will intensify at night. In the evening, strong northerly winds will prevail, between 7 and 8 on the Beaufort scale. Air temperature 12-23°C.

On Saturday the weather is expected to change: rain in the west of the country, locally in the north, northeast and east of the eastern Aegean Sea. The first snowfall is not ruled out in the mountains of northwestern Greece. Wind from the west, from 6 to 7 on the Beaufort scale, increasing to 8.

The weather will improve from Sunday, but worsening should be expected from Monday. A noticeable drop in temperature is predicted.
