Palestinian workers return from Israel to the Gaza Strip. At the start of the war, 18,500 border workers had work permits in Israel.
On Friday November 3, 700 of them returned to the Gaza Strip through the southern Kerem Shalom crossing, near Egypt. They alleged brutal detentions, interrogations and mistreatment by Israeli authorities over the past four weeks. Some still have plastic stickers with numbers on their legs.
Meanwhile, Israel rejected offers of a temporary truce with Hamas, saying that it would agree to agreements only after the release of Israeli hostages captured as a result of attacks October 7th. This was stated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose words leads Interfax.
“Israel will also not allow fuel to be brought into the Gaza Strip and is opposed to the transfer of funds to the enclave,” he noted during a televised address. And he added that Israel “will not stop until victory” – until the Hamas group is destroyed, the hostages are freed, and the safety of Israelis is ensured.
