Hurricane in Xanthi destroys everything in its path

The onset of bad weather caused major disasters in Xanthi. The hurricane left behind dozens of downed trees, vehicles crushed by falling branches, roofs of houses damaged and solar water heaters installed on the roofs of houses uprooted.

A mini-tornado, gusts of gale-force wind, suddenly swept through Xanthi, causing great destruction to the city’s infrastructure. In the parking lot of a supermarket at the eastern entrance to the city, a tornado overturned two cars and tore awnings.

Nearby, on G. Kondili Street, on the famous road with plane trees, the tornado broke large branches that fell onto the road. It was a miracle that there were no casualties.

According to xanthinea, falling trees and branches were recorded in dozens of places in Xanthi, with one tree falling on a bus, causing serious property damage.
