An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale occurred in Evia a few minutes ago at 8:26 am. The tremors were felt by residents of Athens and many areas of Attica.
The Institute of Geodynamics increased the first rating of 5.0 points to 5.2 points on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake is located 6 kilometers east of Procopio Evia, the depth of the source was 14.2 kilometers.
A little earlier, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded at 05:55 in the sea zone, 29 kilometers southeast of Karpathos, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens. The epicenter of the earthquake was 444 kilometers southeast of the capital, the Institute of Geodynamics reported.
