The US Embassy sent an emergency notice to all Greek residents holding a US passport, saying they were on high alert.
In particular, the embassy asks for information about their whereabouts and announces the alarm: “Due to increased tension in various parts of the world, the possibility of terrorist attacksdemonstrations or violent acts against U.S. citizens and interests, the department advises U.S. citizens abroad to exercise increased caution.”
