The headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was hit (updated)


The TASS agency, citing Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, reports a missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol on Friday, September 22.

A rocket fragment fell in the city center, near the Sevastopol Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky, Razvozhaev reported in his Telegram channel:

“The enemies launched a missile strike at the fleet headquarters. A fragment fell near the Lunacharsky Theater. <…> All operational services went to the scene. Information about the victims is being clarified.”

The governor of Sevastopol warned of a possible repeated attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet:

“Another attack is possible. Please do not go to the city center. Do not leave the buildings. Anyone who is near the fleet headquarters should go to shelters when the siren sounds.”

The head of the city said that employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the spot, an airmobile group has been put on alert, and reserve equipment has been introduced. Firefighters are on the scene extinguishing the fire. The debris from the missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters is scattered over hundreds of meters, a large number of ambulances are heading there, a TASS correspondent reports from the scene.

The headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet is located in the historical center of Sevastopol, close to many civilian facilities. A “hole” appeared in the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet after a missile strike, local public reports report. According to them, the blast wave was “crazy.” A column of smoke is visible above the headquarters. Traffic in the center of Sevastopol is blocked, local residents report. There are no reports of casualties as a result of the incident.
