The cheesemaker cried at the loss of his family’s 74 years of work.

A heartbreaking story was filmed by journalists from the ΣΚΑΙ TV channel in Larissa, when the owner of a famous cheese factory saw that his business in Nea Lefki was destroyed by the bad weather brought by Cyclone Daniel.

According to him, the damage caused is about 12 million euros. His enterprise was opened 74 years ago and was built in parts so as not to incur debts to banks on loans.

“12 million is a loss. What can I tell you? We built the enterprise in parts so as not to take out a loan. Having invested 2 million euros, I expect 700,000 euros from the NSRF, but we never received the money. The damage is huge. We’ll see , What will i do, – Apostolos Nousias said in a conversation with ΣΚΑΙ. – The children told me not to go inside so as not to get a heart attack. There wasn’t even any mold left inside. At least 80,000 containers need to be removed. Everything is in the water. I have never seen such a disaster. That’s horrible”.

We built the enterprise in parts so as not to take out loans. I was six years old when we started building it, and now I’m 80. No one came to see how we lived. I’m taking out the goods, what I can salvage.”
