A total of 39,546 ΔΥΠΑ Social Tourism Program vouchers for 2022-2023 were activated in the country’s tourist sites in June, and 9,665 vouchers for the ferry transfer were also activated.
According to official figures, Evia was the most popular destination, followed by Chalkidiki and Argolis. A new social tourism program will start on July 1 – what do beneficiaries need to know? Approximately 15 regional units with the highest number of activated checks in tourist accommodations from June 1 to June 30, 2023:
- note that The 2022-2023 social tourism holiday voucher can be used until July 31, 2023.
- This is an enhanced and attractive program for both beneficiaries and providers as it characterized by reduced private participation of beneficiaries in the cost of overnight stays in tourist sites and increased subsidized prices for suppliers.
- Program beneficiaries can spend up to 6 nights in tourist accommodation, which they choose from the ΔΥΠΑ’s “Provider Register” after their direct consultation with the service provider.
- On Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos and Evros Prefecture you can spend up to 10 nights without private participation (at no extra charge), while in the housing of the municipalities of Istiaia (Edipsos) and Mantoudi, Limni Ag. Anna (Northern Evia) and Samosa stay up to 12 nights for free.
- In addition to accommodation in tourist sites, ferry tickets are also subsidized. The participation of the general category of beneficiaries is 25%, those with many children – 20%. For the disabled, ferry tickets are provided free of charge.
