Sobyanin: "In connection with the incoming information" in Moscow "anti-terrorism measures are being taken" (complemented)

Prisoners pardoned by Putin, who fought in Ukraine, seized power in Rostov and moved to Moscow. The generals of the Russian army urged Prigozhin to “stop the columns” and submit to Putin. What’s happening? Riot, coup or “cover operation”? What is known as of this morning.

It all started yesterday. Prigozhin accused the Russian Defense Ministry of striking PMC camps and killing mercenaries, and called on Russians to join the “justice march.” In his appeal, the founder of PMC “Wagner” said that the leadership of the Ministry of Defense was deceiving the president, and he was receiving untrue reports.

The leader of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said, that the regular Russian army launched a missile attack on the rear camps of mercenaries. According to him, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu flew to Rostov, where he personally carried out an operation to destroy the mercenaries.

25,000 Prigozhin’s mercenaries allegedly go to “restore justice.” At the same time, he asks not to call it a “military coup.” Prigozhin added that Shoigu cowardly fled from Rostov and “this creature will be stopped.” The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation called the information a provocation.

The National Anti-Terrorism Committee of the Russian Federation reported that in connection with these statements, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of calling for an armed rebellion. Putin is informed about the situation, informs euronews.

And then the situation escalates. Prigozhin’s column, according to social networks, travels through the streets of Rostov:

The FSB called on the fighters of PMC “Wagner” to take measures to detain Prigozhin, writes TASS. The statements and actions of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of PMC Wagner, are in fact calls for the start of an armed civil conflict, the Russian FSB public relations center said on Saturday:

“The statements and actions of Prigozhin are in fact calls for the start of an armed civil conflict on the territory of the Russian Federation and are a stab in the back of Russian servicemen fighting pro-fascist Ukrainian forces.”

The department also noted that the widespread statements about the strikes of the Russian Defense Ministry on PMC “Wagner” are not true and are a provocation:

“All the information disseminated on social networks on behalf of Prigozhin about the missile and bomb attacks allegedly inflicted by the RF Ministry of Defense on the rear units of the Wagner PMC is untrue and is an informational provocation. We urge the PMC fighters not to make irreparable mistakes, to stop any forceful actions against the Russian people, not to carry out the criminal and treacherous orders of Prigozhin, to take measures to detain him. The Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out combat missions on the line of contact with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the NMD.”

The department explained that the case on the fact of the call to rebellion by Prigozhin was opened due to the seriousness of the current situation and the threat of an escalation of confrontation in Russia:

“Due to the seriousness of the situation and the threat of an escalation of confrontation in the Russian Federation, the FSB initiated a criminal case on the fact of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s call for an armed rebellion.”
