The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine denied the existence of problems with the registration and issuance of passports abroad, documents are issued in the normal mode.
Earlier, information appeared that the Foreign Ministry was delaying the issuance of Ukrainian passports abroad due to the fact that the term of the contract between the printing plant “Ukraine” and the ministry had expired. However, the department reported that on June 8 a new contract for the production of passports in the amount of 115,000 units was concluded.
The first documents in the amount of 41,000 have already been printed and shipped, informs European Pravda, citing information from Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko:
“Now these passports are being sent abroad to be issued to our citizens in Ukrainian foreign diplomatic institutions. Ukrainians who are abroad can check the status of their passport production on the website“.
Ukrainian diplomatic institutions abroad, embassies and consulates continue to process and issue passports as usual, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured.
