Nearly 300 Greek beaches become more accessible

An innovative project worth 15 million euros, being implemented in Greece, will make 287 beaches as accessible as possible for everyone, including the disabled, pregnant women, and the elderly.

140 popular beaches already have SEATRAC bathing mechanisms for the disabled – a special remote-controlled chair can be moved into the sea. The founder of the system, Gerasimos Fessian, knows firsthand about the problems of the disabled. He lives by the sea, but limited mobility has always been an obstacle for him to fully relax on the beach.

The prototype of the unique system was created in 2009, and in 2012 SEATRAC entered the market. This is an excellent support not only for disabled people with limited mobility, but also for pregnant women, the elderly, and those suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The free service offers people with limited mobility access to the sea without assistance. The innovative assistant ensures the quality of relaxation and well-being in everyday life.
