Ukrainian citizens who are refugees in Europe and receive benefits are required to declare their income for 2022 and submit a declaration before May 1.
Although the Verkhovna Rada exempted them from this need, the bill has not yet been signed by the President of Ukraine, that is, it has not entered into force.
How writes Strana edition, referring to the explanations of MP Nina Yuzhanina, Ukrainian refugees abroad still have to submit income declarations for 2022 by May 1. This is required by the Tax Code, which refers citizens of Ukraine fleeing the war to the category of recipients of foreign income.
It should be clarified that benefits received abroad are not taxed, but they must be declared.
