Parthenon made of… dough from the Greek National Baking Team

An exact copy of the Parthenon in the Athenian Acropolis was created from … dough. The creators are a group of bakers, the National Team of Bakers, preparing for an international competition.

The bakers who have created this unique creation are members of the national team that will represent Greece at the World Championship scheduled in Paris in January 2024.

Speaking to open TV, the bakers said they spent eight hours creating the Parthenon from edible dough.

The national team of bakers consists of six members: two from Crete, two from Kefalonia, one each from Kalamata and Kavala. The team has already passed the qualifying round of the relevant competition. At the world championship, they will be invited to compete in the categories of bread, bakery products and art dough.

The theme of the competition will be the Olympic Games, which are scheduled to be held in France on July 26-August 11, 2024.
