Farewell to the 15-year-old Panagiotis who died in the crash

Pupils and teachers of Eleftherios Kordelios 1st Secondary School said goodbye to 15-year-old Panagiotis who died in Tempi, who studied here, and honored his memory with a minute of silence.

On the floor of the gym, his classmates silently posted “1.3.23 PANAGIOTI LIVES” with their school backpacks, saying that his memory will forever remain in their hearts, writes grtimes.gr.

Due to the rain that had been falling in Thessaloniki since early morning on Friday, the action took place in the school’s indoor gym, and not in the yard, as was the case in other Greek educational institutions across the country.

Before the start of school hours, at 08:12 (12 minutes is the time the train moved to Tempi before the collision), there was a minute of silence from classmates of Panagiotis, who died so untimely along with his father in the fatal train collision in Tempi. After that, the students placed a rose and lit a candle next to his photograph.

The human stories behind the Tempi tragedy are shocking:
