Evros: the organizer of the carnival was found with a knife in his chest at the bottom of a 30-meter gorge

The Tijeros community in Evros is shocked by the news that a 28-year-old carnival organizer has been found with a knife sticking out of her chest at the bottom of a 30m gorge.

A young woman who was in charge of carnival activities in her area was found dead at the bottom of a gorge on the road to Mount Lefkimi by her cousin and the police. A few meters from the body of the girl lay her motorcycle.

The first impression might have been that the girl had probably been in an accident and lost control, but those at the scene were shocked to see a knife thrust into the young woman’s chest and knife cuts on her arms.

A coroner was urgently called to the scene and determined that the woman had attempted to cut her wrists and, failing to do so, had probably been stabbed in the chest. At the same time, according to the testimony of her brother, the woman had such a knife for working on the farm. Although the death was ruled a suicide, the wounds to the arms reportedly preceded the chest wound. It is not yet known whether the girl died from a wound or from a fall from a cliff.

Her body will be subjected to an autopsy, which will shed light on the cause of death and whether it was a crime or suicide.

A resident of Tijeros yesterday, Sunday, agreed with friends to meet at noon at the stadium to watch the football match of the local team. Unfortunately, she never appeared, and after dinner attempts were made to find her, which continued until the evening, but without success.

High-ranking officials and employees of the police department of Alexandroupoli hurried to the place where the woman was found dead. The police are studying all the possibilities and have not yet ruled out a single version. They are also looking for camera footage in the area to determine if the young woman was riding a motorcycle alone.

In Chihero, everyone talks about a happy girl, full of energy and life. According to her neighbors, she participated in social and local activities, was always smiling and cheerful, and would never have committed suicide.
