Ioannina authorities proceeded to arrest a man who was hiding 30 kilograms of raw cannabis in his car.
According to the Greek law enforcement agencies, the services, using the information received by them, set to work. Thus, the police got on the trail of a local resident involved in the transport of drugs.
The man was stopped on the road at noon on Tuesday, January 17 this year. During a thorough examination of the car, specially designed caches were found in the bodywork, in which the car owner hid 55 packages of raw hemp with a total weight of 30 kilograms 350 grams.
In addition to drugs and a car, cash in the amount of 16,300 euros and a shotgun were confiscated from the man, which were found during a search of his house. The detainee was taken to the prosecutor’s office of Ioannina.
