Rapid test mandatory until March for unvaccinated workers

The obligation for unvaccinated workers to regularly take (and present at the workplace) rapid tests has been extended until March 31.

According to the updated provision of the bill of the Ministry of Health, submitted for discussion, the rapid test will be mandatory for all unvaccinated workers until March 31, 2023. The obligation to present a certificate or confirmation of vaccination or illness by employees of the public and private sectors has been extended until 31.03.2023 in the relevant provision of the draft law of the Ministry of Health “Integrated system for the provision of palliative care – measures to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and protect public health and other provisions.” In particular, with a negative express test, unvaccinated workers will continue to go to work until March 31, 2023.

Private sector workers with a physical presence at the workplace who have not been vaccinated or sick with coronavirus within the past six months, are obliged – and at their own expense – to undergo diagnostics for COVID19 (rapid test) once a week. The certificate is valid for one week from the date of issue. BUTThe audit is carried out at any time during the working week of each employee. Earlier in September, the previous decision for unvaccinated workers was already extended (until December 31, 2022).
