Kos police handcuffed a 39-year-old tourist who suffered a “nicotine withdrawal” during the flight and lit a cigarette in the toilet of the plane.
It all happened during a flight from Tel Aviv to the Greek island of Kos when smoke detectors went off and the flight crew raised the alarm. A resident of Israel was arrested for violating the order and will now appear before the prosecutor of Kos.
The captain of the airliner ordered to check the passenger, and he got angry and began to swear at the staff. However, the flight safety officer immediately informed the Kos control tower of the incident.
The airport staff, in turn, informed the police. As soon as the plane landed at Kos airport on Monday afternoon, two police officers entered and immediately handcuffed the brawler.
Recall, despite the strict ban on smoking on the plane and large fines, passengers still sometimes “go for it.” A year ago, a certain Russian tourist, apparently belonging to the category of those to whom “the law does not apply,” lit a cigarette right during an air flight. According to the Greek media, a passenger on a flight from St. Petersburg to Heraklion could not wait for the plane to land and, contrary to all laws, lit a cigarette. For which, of course, he had to “answer”. As soon as the plane landed in Heraklion, the Russian passenger was arrested, according to the ekriti website.
