Social tourism: final lists of beneficiaries and providers of tourism services published

On Thursday, July 21, the final tables of participants in the “Social tourism for 2022-2023” program of the State Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ), as well as those excluded from it, were released.

A total of 300,000 vouchers will be issued. More than 532,000 applications for nearly 1 million vouchers were submitted this year, a record for interest in the program. More than 1,500 tourist sites are registered, in which it is proposed to relax.

The process of participation in the social tourism program (subsidized by the state) is carried out using a unique (personal) voucher with a specific number for each recipient individually.

Beneficiaries and their families can spend up to 6 nights in tourist accommodation, which they select from the ΔΥΠΑ Supplier Registry after direct consultation with the supplier. Special offers are valid for Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos and the prefecture of Evros. You can spend up to 10 nights there without additional payment (private participation). In the housing of the municipalities of Istia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag. Anna of Northern Evia and Samos, the beneficiaries of the program can spend up to 12 nights completely free of charge.

Upon arrival at the tourist accommodation, the providers activate the vouchers electronically through the e-services portal (ΔΥΠΑ). The social tourism program runs from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023. Its budget is 35 million euros, which is 5 million euros more than in the program 2021-2022. This is an expanded and attractive program for both citizens and tourism service providers, as it is characterized by zero private participation of beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries of last year’s program who have not yet redeemed their vouchers will be able to use them until July 31, 2022.
