Within a few minutes of the signal being received, at about 3 am, the central square of Athens was filled with ΔΙ.ΑΣ motorcycles. and police cars. The area was cordoned off. A few passers-by and the honor guard of the Evzones were evacuated. Cars moving along Vasilissis Amalias Avenue in the direction of Eleftherio Venizelou were stopped by the police and reversed out of the area where the special operation was being carried out.
