The details of the new brutal murder of a woman in the village of Piges Nestow in Kavala are shocking. A pharmacist working in a pharmacy was killed by her own husband, who strangled her and then decided to cover her tracks.
A friend of the unfortunate woman told the publication iefimerida.gr, that recently the couple had problems in family life: “She asked him to leave, she wanted them to leave. One day, the pharmacy did not open, which surprised many in the village of Piges, and they sounded the alarm. Thus it became known that the head of the family dealt with his wife. A 55-year-old man reportedly strangled his wife. The tragedy occurred shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday, Thursday.
The man, for reasons unknown until now, strangled his 43-year-old wife in the kitchen, and then tried to commit suicide, but to no avail. Authorities are trying to establish whether there was a quarrel between the couple on the eve of the brutal murder.
At about 12 o’clock in the morning, the husband of the victim called the duty officer at the local police station, saying that he had harmed his wife and tried to commit suicide. Police rushed to the scene and found the woman dead in bed, with a bleeding man next to her.
It is noted that the victim and the perpetrator have two children, aged 10 and 6 years.
