A shocking car accident happened on Saturday afternoon in Salamis when the car ran off the road and into the sea off a 20m high cliff.
As a result of the accident, the driver and two minors who were in the car were injured. According to the police, the accident occurred on the coastal Ayantiu Avenue – a car driven by a 37-year-old woman flew off the road and fell from a height.
Three passengers were rescued by witnesses of the horrific incident, who immediately called an ambulance. Paramedics immediately arrived at the scene of the accident. The injured were taken by EKAB ambulance to Thriasio General Hospital in Elefsina, and the car was lifted out of the water with a crane.
The preliminary investigation is being carried out by the 3rd port department of Salamina of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
