Greek Medical Association sends aid to Ukraine

The Medical Association of Athens (ISA) will send medicines and medical supplies to Ukraine.

These are 20 boxes of medicines and sanitary and hygienic materials that will be sent to healthcare institutions in order to rescue the victims of hostilities in Ukraine. ISA President and Governor of Attica G. Patoulis checked the readiness of the ISA initiative group and the Attica region, the newspaper writes.

G. Patulis stated the following: “We must support our brothers who are currently being tested. For our part, as ISA and the Attica region, we are preparing actions to support the civilian population with essential products. Unfortunately, a huge humanitarian crisis is not far off not only in Ukraine, but throughout Europe, with refugee flows, an economic crisis and the forced resettlement of thousands of people. We pray and hope for a ceasefire,” he said.

The leaders of the G7 countries have declared their readiness to provide Ukraine with humanitarian assistance due to the Russian military operation, the G7 leaders said in a joint statement.
