The plan for the reconstruction of the royal estate includes the creation and opening of a museum, restaurants, cafes, hostels and an exhibition hall.

Projects in Tatoi that are part of a broader plan to protect, promote and use former royal estateare in the process of being implemented immediately.

A museum, a car showroom with vintage cars, restaurants, cafes, a hotel (not only for the general public, but also for VIPs), event and creative venues, a winery are among the spaces that are planned to be operated as part of this major project with an overall budget 14.3 million funded from the Recovery Fund, which is expected to be completed by 2025.

In accordance with the existing project, with regard to the central palace block, the former royal palace will be converted into a museum, and the palace’s ticket office, shop and buffet will be located in the kitchens.

The auxiliary buildings of the palace are designed to perform the auxiliary functions of the estate, as well as a place for receiving guests.

The office will house the administration of the estate, the headquarters building will be converted into apartments for VIPs, the assault house and the communications house will be used as exhibition areas for individual thematic collections.

Will also be refurbished garage and repair shops, a fire department and a security post will be located in the drivers’ house. The barracks complex will be transformed into a restaurant and a space for social events, an information center will be located in the forester’s house, changing rooms and toilets will be located in the power generator building.

According to officials, a large number of events will be held on the territory of Tatoi.

“We are proceeding with the procedure for the development plan of the former royal estate of Tatoi in accordance with the schedules we have set. With the tender held a few days ago for the restoration and promotion project of the palace with a total budget of 14.3 million euros, financed by the Restoration Fund, we are entering the home stretch to start work with a completion plan in 2025, said Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoni, “With the close cooperation and coordination of the competent ministries, and despite the problems created by the big fires last summer, we are making every effort to ensure that the estate is restored within the deadline, as it deserves, in order to be a pole of national and international interest.”
