Two men, aged 36 and 70, were arrested in the Haidari metropolitan area by DIAS police officers. The detainees are accused of violating the law on weapons and using fake documents.
According to ELAS, during a search of the vehicle in which they were found and seized: two rifles, a shotgun, 4 knives, cartridges, 2 laminated ID cards with a photo of a 36-year-old man in the Greek police uniform, a jacket and trousers (police uniform) and etc.
The car (as the criminals probably used it) could “turn” into a patrol car. It had a police flasher and specialized sound equipment (a siren similar to the one used by the police).
Also, during a search of the house, a 70-year-old man was found and seized: an air pistol and 150 cartridges for it, 5 gas cartridges, a knife, a police baton and a holster.
The arrested were taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Athens. An investigation is underway.
